Does artificial grass get hot in the Arizona sun?
Yes, turf can get warm, especially during the summer heat.

What kind of warranty do you offer?
Most of our turf products come with a manufacturer’s warranty of up to 15 years.
In addition, we back every installation with our own industry-leading 5-year craftsmanship warranty.
For comparison, many turf companies only guarantee their work for 1–2 years — so it’s an important question to ask when weighing your options.
Do you offer financing or payment plans?
Absolutely! We’ve partnered with Hearth Finance to make your project more affordable.

What about pet odors. Does turf trap smell?
Unpleasant odors usually happen when the wrong type of turf or infill is used.
Pet turf is very different from standard landscape turf — but many companies install regular turf and simply call it “pet-friendly.”
At AZ Turf, we use turf designed specifically for pets, with a full mesh backing that allows for rapid drainage. Paired with non-absorbent pet infill and proper base preparation, it stays fresh, clean, and only needs the occasional rinse.
Will my HOA allow artificial grass?
Yes! Under Arizona law (HB 2131), if your HOA allows natural grass, they cannot prohibit you from installing artificial turf.
That said, HOAs can set reasonable guidelines on details like turf color, pile height, coverage area, and installation standards.
Most require a formal request to their Architectural Review Committee (ARC), which often involves submitting turf samples, installation plans, and maintenance information.
We’ve worked with many HOA boards across Arizona and can help make the approval process smooth and stress-free.
Can I get a rebate if I switch to artificial turf?
In many cases, yes! Several cities in the Phoenix metro area offer rebates for installing water-efficient landscaping.
